Welcome to Schedule I, a unique puzzle-simulation game that plunges you into the monotonous yet surprisingly complex world of government bureaucracy. As a new clerk in a sprawling, inefficient department, your mission is to process an endless deluge of documents, forms, and requests. This isn’t a game of speed, but one of precision, logic, and managing the delicate balance of regulations and human error. Every stapled sheet, every correctly filed form, contributes to (or hinders) the smooth (or not-so-smooth) operation of the system.
Getting Started: Your First Day on the Job
Your initial tasks in Schedule I will introduce you to the core mechanics.
- The Inbox: Your desk starts with an overflowing inbox of digital and physical documents. Your first step is always to sort and prioritize.
- Reading the Rules: Each document type has specific rules and regulations governing its processing. These are found in the “Official Handbook” – a critical in-game resource. Misinterpreting a rule leads to errors.
- Processing Stations: You’ll interact with various processing stations:
- Stapler: Combine multiple related documents. Precision is key; the wrong documents stapled together cause issues.
- Hole Punch: Prepare documents for filing. Incorrect holes make them unusable.
- Scanner: Digitize physical forms. Ensure clarity and correct orientation.
- Filing Cabinet: The final destination for correctly processed forms, sorted by category and numerical order.
- The Error Report: Mistakes are inevitable. When an error occurs, you’ll receive a dreaded “Error Report” which you must then correctly process to avoid penalties.
Begin slowly, focus on accuracy, and let the rules guide you. The bureaucracy of Schedule I awaits your meticulous touch!
