Getting Started: Your First Steps on Summoner’s Rift

Embark on your journey through Runeterra with these fundamental insights.

  • Understand the Goal: Your primary objective is to destroy the enemy Nexus, located at their base. To do this, you’ll need to push through lanes, destroy turrets, and overcome enemy Champions.
  • Choose Your Champion: Start with simple, beginner-friendly Champions to learn the basics without being overwhelmed by complex mechanics. Champions like Garen, Ashe, or Annie are great choices.
  • Familiarize with Roles: Understand the basic roles in a 5v5 team: Top Lane, Jungle, Mid Lane, Attack Damage Carry (ADC), and Support. Each role has a distinct purpose and playstyle.
  • The Map (Summoner’s Rift): Get to know the main map. It has three lanes (Top, Mid, Bot), a jungle between them, and two bases.
