As the Traveler, separated from your twin, you’ll journey through vibrant landscapes, uncover ancient mysteries, and battle formidable foes. Genshin Impact blends exhilarating elemental combat, a compelling narrative, and stunning anime-inspired graphics. Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or new to the genre, Teyvat offers endless discovery. Prepare to recruit diverse characters, master powerful elemental reactions, and unravel the secrets of this magical world.
Getting Started: Your First Steps in Teyvat
Your initial hours in Genshin Impact lay the groundwork for your grand adventure.
- Character Selection: You begin as either the Male (Aether) or Female (Lumine) Traveler. Your choice is primarily cosmetic.
- Archon Quests (Main Story): Follow the main storyline to unlock new regions, features, and deepen your understanding of Teyvat’s lore. Prioritize these!
- Exploration: Teyvat is vast. Explore, unlock Teleport Waypoints and Statues of The Seven (which heal and reveal map sections), and gather resources.
- Elemental Powers: As the Traveler, you’ll resonate with Statues of The Seven to gain new elemental powers (Anemo, Geo, Dendro, etc.).
- Combat Basics: Learn to swap between up to four characters in your party. Each character has a normal attack, elemental skill, and elemental burst. The core of combat is Elemental Reactions – combining different elements for powerful effects (e.g., Anemo + Pyro = Swirl, spreading fire).
- Puzzles: Teyvat is filled with environmental puzzles, often requiring specific elemental applications to solve and reward you with chests.
Take your time to explore and understand the elemental system. Teyvat is waiting for your discovery!
